Comfort Items

Tonight I was reading Alex a book that had a picture of a crying baby in it. Usually he wants to give the baby a kiss to make her feel better, but tonight he said, "She needs her mommy." Awww! Isn't it cute the first thing he thinks of is "Mommy" when someone needs conforting. Then he continued, "She needs her daddy." Again, awwww! "Needs TV, needs Elmo." Wait a second. Are you kidding me? My little man may be a bit too Elmo-obsessed. And just now we heard him over the monitor muttering in his sleep, something about Elmo. Geez.
